Gillian reserves ‘spacious’ retirement apartment in the centre of Wantage

Space was very important for Gillian Herd when she decided to reserve a retirement apartment in Wantage.

After all, Gillian, who celebrated her 80th birthday last year, will be moving out of her 18th century, six bedroom house.

Gilian has just reserved a brand new apartment being built on Church Street by Renaissance Retirement. The two bed apartment on the first floor at the Fleur-de-Lis development has a lovely feeling of space which, moving from 4,520 square feet house, Gillian felt was vital.

"The apartment is lovely and spacious – and the prefect size for me. I didn't want to leave the Wantage area and being close to town was important. The location couldn't be better as I can walk in easily."

Gillian added: "I don't need all that room in the house any more. I have lots of lovely family memories which I'll take with me to my new flat. I'm now really looking forward to moving in."
