Renaissance put best foot forward with sponsorship of Victoria Halls’ garden walk in Hartley Wintney
Aiming to beat last year's total of £3,800, chairman Chris Francis is anticipating over 600 locals will take up the challenge and turnout again.
The Garden Walk, planned for June 19th, follows a route around the village taking in at least nine spectacular gardens showcasing the best of the English summer flowers.
Chris Francis, chairman of Victoria and Jubilee Halls, was joined by Chris Wotton, marketing director at Renaissance Retirement, to be the first name to sign up to the fundraising walk.
"We are delighted Renaissance Retirement was able to sponsor the Garden Walk this year. It's a lovely stroll around Hartley Wintney village and we are aiming to break £4,000 if all goes well," said Chris Francis. "We are hoping to attract between 600 and 800 walkers. It's open to all, adults are £5 and children are free."
Renaissance Retirement was the perfect match for the Halls, having just launched its luxury retirement development in the heart of the village.
The 23 one and two bedroom apartments are providing luxurious living spaces ideally suited for downsizers looking to maintain a quality standard of independent living in the region.
"We are delighted to be part of Hartley Wintney community," said Chris Wotton, marketing director at Renaissance Retirement. "We have been warmly welcomed by many of the locals and thank them for this. I, for one, am looking forward to seeing a little more of the village on this walk."
