Marlborough estate agents give Renaissance Retirement ‘stunning’ development the thumbs up

With the build of Renaissance Retirement’s much anticipated Fleur-de-Lis development in Marlborough well under way, the company invited Carter Jonas and Hamptons International estate agents to take a close inspection of its construction to date.

The agents, who also specialise in new build sales, are marketing Renaissance Retirement’s 28 one and two bed apartments, which is being built on the former Old Yard on London Road. It’s the first new build development of its kind in the town for over 10 years and has attracted extensive interest.

The company employed renowned ex-English Heritage consultant James Webb who advised Renaissance Retirement on the most appropriate building design for this sensitively located site. The company adopted an Arts and Crafts style consisting of sweeping, sprocketed roofs, Voysey dormers and large chimneys. The design, according to Renaissance will be ‘stunning’.

“I’m delighted to report a big thumbs up for the apartments – the apartments will be very spacious and very exciting for people downsizing in Marlborough,” said Joanna Cole from Hamptons. “We have already recorded a good amount of interest from potential buyers.”

Claire Johnson from Carter Jonas added: “Prospective buyers will be thrilled with how they look inside, as well as the additional space standards. It will be one of the major new homes launches next year.”

When launched in the summer of 2017, the spacious apartments will feature 28 one and two bedrooms and have been designed to offer an independent lifestyle in a contemporary setting, creating a modern and stylish environment.

Ideally suited to downsizers and those seeking to maintain a quality standard of independent living, each of the properties is connected to emergency call systems and 24-hour security, as well as an on-site concierge who is on hand to assist owners and oversee the development’s daily operation. A lavish Owners’ Drawing Room and guest suite are also accessible to all owners.
